What you’ll be doing:
This role applies advanced technical expertise to create innovative data/ML solutions that support both strategic and operational business goals. It enhances the organisation’s ability to generate insight by using statistical methods, machine learning and artificial intelligence to explore data and improve decision‑making.
It also ensures all data and AI models are developed and used ethically, meeting legislative, security and contractual requirements. The role provides leadership across the full lifecycle of innovation artefacts—design, upgrade, maintenance, decommissioning and archiving—while guiding best practice in managing machine‑learning and AI models in line with organisational policy.
Core duties:
- You will be an expert in data science tools, including Matlab and Python as well as with relevant libraries for advance data science and machine learning (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jupyter Notebook)
- You will have experience building, validating and optimising supervised and unsupervised ML models
- You will have a working knowledge of Azure Services like Azure MLFlow, Ai Search, Ai Foundry and OpenAi.
- You will be able to explore existing and new data using a range of statistical tools and techniques, such as machine learning and predictive analytics
- You will be able to apply tools and techniques for data analysis, data manipulation and data visualisation (including the use of business information tools) and develop business intelligence reports and/or artificial intelligence artefacts that can be integrated in stand alone solutions
