Job Description
Job title: Project Manager
Location: Sheffield or Barrow or Filton – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: £66,500+ depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Accountable for the budget, performance and results of the team
- Accountable as a member of the Project Management team for development and implementation of appropriately tailored practices
- Provide leadership and management for the assigned projects/programme
- Identify and develop new business opportunities adjacent to the project/programme
- Monitor and report project/programme performance for schedule, technical, financial and quality objectives
- Proactively manage emerging risks and opportunities for the benefit of the programme
- Evaluate the performance of subordinates using appropriate objectives and ensuring continuous coaching to enhance their capability
- Ensures essential procedures are followed based on own knowledge of Project Management and may formulate policies and processes within own area
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Professional project management qualification or equivalent experience, with proven ability to lead and manage project or programme teams
- Experience controlling resources, policy, and project governance with minimal guidance, ensuring successful delivery and issue resolution
- Ability to drive business growth by identifying opportunities, assessing viability, and supporting decisions on follow-on bids
- Experience in project finance, including reviewing and acting on reports such as CSRs, STPs, and cash flow forecasts, as well as managing supplier commercial agreements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across a variety of audiences and media, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout project lifecycle
Desirable:
- Previous experience within industrialisation and manufacturing or production environments
