Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Barrow-in-Furness or Sheffield, Hybrid – Flexible working, but you’re expected on site as business needs require + this position can be based at either site + Potentially one trip per quarter either UK or overseas.

Salary: Circa £59,000

Job Description:
Step into a role where you’ll be at the heart of delivering next-generation defence capabilities, contributing to projects that have real-world impact across land and maritime environments. You’ll work alongside experienced teams and customers, gaining exposure to multi-faceted programmes while shaping how projects are delivered. Core duties:
- Facilitate project reporting and scheduling, ensuring accurate tracking and delivery
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring customer needs and business benefits are met
- Help us identify, assess and mitigate project risks to support successful outcomes
- Cultivate the growth of 1-2 direct reports whilst driving and delivering a small project or a defined work package within a larger programme
- Collaborate with stakeholders to agree project approaches, ensuring you are plan effectively, and acting as the main customer interface
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrate considerable understanding of your projects, including markets, customers and priorities, while coordinating multiple projects to time, cost and quality, engaging stakeholders to achieve aligned outcomes
- You have extensive PM experience, applying policies, processes and systems while guiding others and setting clear delivery standards
- You will apply problem-solving techniques to moderately multi-faceted constraints, using internal and external data to support informed project delivery
- You bring experience within the defence sector, such as working with the MoD, Army or related defence programmes and environments; whilst holding a recognised PM qualification (PRINCE2, APM, IMA or equivalent) or relevant degree
