Location: Portsmouth Naval Base. Onsite

Job Description:

Join a collaborative project team where you’ll help drive successful project delivery through effective planning, performance monitoring and insightful reporting. You will maintain project plans and baselines, analyse key metrics, identify trends and provide clear recommendations that support informed decision-making and the achievement of cost, schedule, and milestone objectives.

Working closely with Project Managers and stakeholders, you will contribute to cost, schedule, quality, resource, and risk management activities. Through accurate data analysis, forecasting, and reporting, you will help ensure projects are delivered efficiently while supporting continuous improvement and successful outcomes.

Core duties:

  • You will support project teams under the guidance of a Senior Project Controller, ensuring effective project delivery
  • Analyse and report cost and schedule performance, providing insights to Project Managers and stakeholders
  • You will extract, validate, and maintain project data from planning tools, ERP systems, and other platforms
  • Ensure you produce clear metrics, reports, and narratives to support decision-making and project governance
  • Recommend improvements, support cost control activities and maintain accurate project administration records

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience using scheduling tools and SAP/ERP systems
  • Considerable organisational and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and present insights clearly
  • Confident engaging with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, to support informed decision-making
  • Experience working within a project environment, supporting project schedules, tracking performance and delivering accurate reporting
