Are you an organised, detail-oriented problem solver looking to build your career in engineering, manufacturing, or project management?
We're looking for a Project Officer to support the successful delivery of capital investment projects within our manufacturing environment. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Finance, and Operations teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain exposure to engineering projects while developing valuable project management, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
What will you do?
- Drive project execution by maintaining project plans, coordinating timelines, tracking milestones, and ensuring key actions are delivered on schedule.
- Support engineering projects from start to finish, coordinating shutdown activities, compliance requirements, commissioning activities, and project documentation.
- Manage project finances and administration, including purchase orders, supplier onboarding, invoice processing, budget tracking, forecasting, and CAPEX reporting.
- Create clear project communications and reporting, providing updates, dashboards, presentations, and stakeholder communications that keep everyone aligned.
- Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with business objectives.
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience gained within a manufacturing, supply chain, or FMCG environment.
- Strong organisational, planning, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams and priorities.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyse data, track budgets, and produce clear project reporting.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, with confidence working across engineering, operations, procurement, and external partners.
Desirable
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or capital projects, including project scheduling using tools such as MS Project.
- Exposure to procurement and ERP systems such as SAP or Ariba, alongside budget tracking, forecasting, and financial administration.
- Understanding of engineering documentation, CE Marking requirements, industrial safety standards, or regulated manufacturing environments such as FMCG, food, beverage, or pharmaceuticals.
What will make you successful?
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication, listening, and influencing skills.
- A desire to learn, develop, and build a long-term career within engineering project delivery.
