Job title: Payroll Change Lead

Location: Preston – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £60,000 + depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be a lead payroll system configuration consultant in BAE Systems
  • Lead team members to develop, execute and maintaining the Portfolio of Payroll system change activity in line with timescales, schedule and cost for individual elements
  • Responsible for ensuring the seamless transition of change activity into the Payroll Service Delivery Teams
  • Lead on the development of functional Strategies and longer-term development of policies
  • Lead on incoming impact assessment of payroll change requirements, using a RACI to manage across all stakeholders
  • Maximise the capability and contribution of each team member through effective people management and a strong focus on legal compliance and appropriate and effective training
  • Develop an understanding of the Payroll external market for providing best practice solutions that support business improvement, development and support the achievement strategic outcomes across BAE Systems
  • Understand legislative, regulatory and functional/business change requirements and engage the appropriate stakeholders to discuss and agree proposed solutions
  • Lead on continuous improvement system configuration and process changes across the team

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Payroll implementation and change experience
  • Highly developed relationship building, networking capability with the ability to engage, communicate, and influence at different levels both internally and externally.
  • Strong excel and presentation skills

Desirable:

  • Resourcelink experience

The Payroll team:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the large UK Payroll Change & System Team based at Preston. Support the development of the change strategy for BAE Systems Payroll in line with functional strategies across the group, with a real focus on continuous improvement initiatives. Ensuring Control, Governance and Compliance is met with System Functionality, Maintenance and Configuration changes. The role is responsible for managing and delivering the Pay & Reward change pipeline, ensuring the BAE Systems Payroll System is compliant with Statutory, GDPR, HMRC, Pensions and Financial legislative requirements. You will have an opportunity to influence and facilitate business change and improvements in a complex payroll environment with lots of challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on existing skill sets and to work across a variety of key stakeholders at all levels within BAE.
