Job Title: HR Advisor

Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing operational advice on a range of people issues including case management & employee relations issues
  • Influencing and coaching others in line with business priorities
  • Assisting with monitoring key metrics and using HR information systems to input and compile data
  • Operating in a manufacturing, unionised, project-based organisation
  • Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, providing timely accurate and quality support
  • Ensuring comprehensive understanding and communication of People processes and procedures within the business

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Comprehensive experience in an HR Advisor role or equivalent
  • A good level of knowledge across all HR disciplines
  • Can demonstrate ability to interpret relevant data and metrics and business information to enable effective business decision making
  • A good level of employee relations knowledge and experience of managing employee relations cases

Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge of project management principles and how to apply these in practice
  • Has experience working within a complex business environment
  • Experience working in partnership with Trade Unions and employee representatives
  • CIPD qualified or working towards
