Job Description

Job title: HR Advisor / Consultant (12-month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Glasgow. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £45,000 dependent on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support line leaders and the HR team to develop and deliver people plans whilst identifying risks and opportunities and also developing solutions to often complex challenges
  • Provide support and guidance to business leaders on the organisational health and design of the function
  • Providing operational advice on a range of people issues; including Absence Management, Talent, Performance Management and organisational health
  • Influence, facilitate and implement change with an understanding of the Business and key stakeholder requirements
  • Preparation of reports for key stakeholder reviews
  • Review people related business data in order to provide insights, impact and solutions within the Business context and environment
  • Manage/Lead/Contribute to broader HR projects
  • Enable management capability through coaching and training initiatives
  • Provide operational advice on a range of employment and performance issues and business change based on business needs, working in collaboration with the appropriate Centre of Expertise

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Previous HR experience within a large organisation or matrix management
  • Experience delivering projects as part of a medium/large team
  • Experience working closely with business leaders, partnering and influencing decisions
  • Worked as part of a team who has delivered organisational design

Desirable:

  • Experience creating plans and presentations with the ability to manipulate data to create insight
  • CIPD qualified (working towards or relevant experience)

The HR Functions Team:

As a HR Advisor you will form part of our Naval Ships HR Functions Team. Within this role you will support the people aspects with the leadership team and all employees. You will be involved in not only the day-to-day HR elements of the role, but also involved in exciting projects which will help improve organisational culture.
