Role Description:
The Mobility Specialist is accountable for the delivery of specialist advice related to people domestic and international mobilisation, and formulating mobility solutions to support the strategic business priorities. The delivery of mobility solutions needs to be in alignment with various legal and Company policy requirements and through close partnership with HR Business Partners, strategic business stakeholders, the People Operations team as well as the wider BAE Systems Group Global Mobility functions.
Core Duties:
- Provide Australian immigration solutions and insights to respond to immediate business needs whilst establishing a medium and long term international mobilisation strategy.
- Act as employees and business point of escalation for any Mobility related enquiries as well as support HR Business Partners in dealing with disciplinary or grievance procedures when related to employees in matters of mobility as required
- Manage the various Mobility lifecycle activities in collaboration with the People Operations team and the wider BAE Systems Group Global Mobility functions such as international assignment periodic allowances review, expatriates and shadow payrolls, Fringe Benefits Tax seasons, end of financial year activities and annual tax return seasons
- Advise and support the governance and management of Mobility policies exception requests in line with the various Mobility policies
- Ensure 3rd party Mobility vendors and suppliers meet requisite service delivery and performance management standards
- Support the design of local Mobility policies in alignment with the BAE Systems Global Mobility Framework
- Partner with local and global legal/employee relations teams in ensuring that local contractual documentation associated with Mobility is kept up to date and reviewed in line with latest regulations and internal policies changes
- Support the deployment of global projects and initiatives in order to improve the management of Mobility
Essential Skills:
- Have an eye for detail, and ability think outside the box to find solutions and provide a positive customer experience.
- Demonstrated in-house experience in the field of Domestic and Global Mobility, preferably in complex global organisations
- Excellent problems solving skills, ability to deal with ambiguity and complex issues, identify compliance risk, implementing mitigation actions accordingly
- Provide guidance, coaching and develop junior staff
- Experience in Australian and immigration and personal employment tax, with ideally an exposure to global immigration and employment tax issues
- Consultancy experience in the field of either Domestic or Global Mobility, Australian immigration or global employment tax is desirable but not essential
