Job title: FCAS Infrastructure Strategy & Integration Manager (Construction)

Salary: £63,900+ dependant on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Accountable for the consideration and planning of all applicable direct and indirect projects, considering such things as Site Investigations, Requirements Capture, Financial Control, Quality Control, Life Cycle Management, Schedule, Stakeholder Management, Statutory Compliance, Security Requirements, Site Standards, Contractor Management, Delivery, Familiarisation, Handover
  • Leading and influencing the Supplier Sourcing Strategy and rapidly building an appropriately SQEP extended supply chain for all B&I investments. Coordinating market assessments and supplier days. All whilst ensuring Commercial alignment with the Programme and Indirect Procurement Services to ensure timely delivery, value for money and security compliance
  • Coordinating a strategy to ensure timely engagement with external bodies such as Local Planning Authorities, Highways, Civil Aviation Authority, Military Aviation Authority, Building Control, Environment Agency and Community working groups
  • Leading a FCAS Digital Strategy to enable the proficient delivery of Investment Projects for the FCAS Business. Championing continuous improvement and innovation in both planning, data management and construction delivery to optimise Time, Cost & Quality
  • Timely and consistent reporting covering all matters for Project Planning and Delivery. Tracking adherence to plan and developing strategic thinking over a ten-year window. Whilst always managing Risk & Opportunities

Your skills and experiences:

  • Degree or HNC/D qualified in Construction or Building Services is ideal, however other disciplines and experience within the Built Environment may be considered (eg. Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management, Building Services, Energy and Sustainability, Construction Development Management, Real Estate Planning and Master Planning etc)
  • Relevant qualifications or significant experience in managing contractor activities and ensuring construction Health & Safety (NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH, specific safety topic training)
  • Experience of managing a team including contractors and professional teams
  • Chartered Membership of a Professional Body

The FCAS Investment Projects team:

This bespoke, strategically important role will collate and coordinate a multi functioned FCAS Buildings & Infrastructure Strategy. Considering legislative consultation and compliance, minimising impact on our existing footprint and operations, enabling the successful delivery and stand up of a FCAS Buildings & Infrastructure capability.

A key part of your role will be to ensure Integration with the FCAS programme and internal business units, driving consistency across our delivery legs in regards process and governance. You will be fundamental to defining and setting up the commercial strategy for works in excess of £2bn, that will pace the success of the Buildings and Infrastructure delivery plan for years to come.
