Job title: F35 Commercial Bid Lead-Production

Location: Samlesbury

Salary: £54,793+ Dependent of skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage development of proposals in response to Customer requirements, usually expressed as an Request for Proposal (RFP)
  • Co-ordinate review of the Customer RFP, identifying all requirements
  • Integrate with the extended BAE Systems team to develop a compliance matrix for RFP requirements and track these during response development and submission
  • Lead identification of resource requirements applicable to bid development and contract delivery
  • Establish a bid Schedule and monitoring process to bid submission
  • Integrate with the extended BAE Systems internal stakeholder organisations to develop the bid solution. Including but not limited to: Production delivery, Supply Chain delivery, Project Management, Commercial Contracts, Estimating, Legal, Engineering, and Export Control
  • Lead project control for bid development and where required any pre-contract advance funding requirements

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Experience with bids and proposals. A capability to integrate multiple functions in a Business winning/Bid development environment
  • Broad understanding of project management principles, concepts, practices and standards is required
  • Technically competent with core Business software programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate subject or HNC/equivalent and substantial relevant experience

Desirable

  • US Customer and/or Aerospace experience

The F35 Commercial Bid team:

The role reports into the US Programmes (USP) Strategic Bid Programme Manager. The role purpose is to manage bids and proposals for Production scope being delivered to a US Customer. This is an exciting opportunity to broaden existing Aerospace bid experience or to transfer bid experience into an Aerospace environment with a US Customer. You will join a team of 5 likeminded professional who strive for best practice.

As a member of a wider USP Production team this role will also flexibly support other team members, providing insight and awareness of the delivery business. The role is also within a wider BAE Systems Project Management function, providing significant opportunity for development and progression.
