Job Description
Job Title: Lead Project Professional – Bid
Location: Barrow in Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £45,000 – depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Performing advanced project reporting & scheduling
- Leading a small project or a work package of a larger project
- Identifying, assessing and managing risks to the success of the Bid Project Lifecycle
- Consolidating expertise from multiple sources, including third party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives
- Undertaking advanced problem solving
- Attending on the job training as appropriate
- Deputising for the Project Manager as appropriate
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Previous Bid Management experience
- Strong stakeholder management experience with ability to influence decisions.
- An ability to gather information, supporting the development of solutions and of implementation approaches
- APM qualified or qualified by experience
Desirable:
- Contract Management experience
- Understanding of BAE Business processes

Join our SSNA Bid Management Team and become a part of shaping the future of our business! As a team member, you will support the start of the lifecycle for the latest and most advanced attack submarine. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the contract of future work through internal processes. You will have the chance to understand the scope, financials, and commercials for the bid, enabling it to be contracted and negotiated. Collaborating with various functions of the business and at all levels, up to Managing Director level, will provide great exposure for consideration for future roles. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
