Job Title: Early Careers and People Development Lead

Location: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £38,734+ depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Work with the Early Careers team to coordinate the attraction, selection and review of Early Careers employees including onboarding and coordinating placements
• Proactively engage with prospective students and their tutors; facilitating roadshows, open days, STEM Ambassador activities etc.
• As functional lead for IM&T Early Careers, ensure that Placement Managers deliver top quality placements & support for EC employees
• Analyse, report on and act upon training and competency data
• Identify skills gaps and training needs for IM&T colleagues ensuring that the team have the competency and qualifications required to deliver

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Supporting others with the development of their knowledge, skills, behaviours and competencies
• Knowledge of IT and Computing career framework and skillsets
• Monitor, analyse and report on trends and metrics with a high level of Microsoft Office skills
• Planning, organising and stakeholder management skills
• Effective communication and presentation skills

Desirable:

• Experience working with early careers employees, education or learning and development

The IM&T People Capability Team:

You will join the IM&T (Information Management and Technology) People Capability Team that is continuously improving current ways of working and you will be able to shape and develop how we support IT career development and talent management for all our employees from new starters, Early Careers employees, those seeking career progression and experience staff who need to develop new skills and grow their knowledge.

The role is people focused, therefore perfect for a professional who has good collaboration skills and is passionate about helping others grow and develop. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
