Job title: Project Manager – Analysis and Design

Location: Portsmouth – Broad Oak. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Circa £55,000 commensurate on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Mobilise two new training development contracts for the Canadian Surface Combatant programme and AUKUS SSNA
  • Lead and deliver contract management
  • Oversee contract deliverables and manage assumptions, exclusions, and dependencies
  • Manage risks, opportunities, and project schedules
  • Handle supply chain management
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings
  • Provide regular reports to the business and customers
  • Manage stakeholder relationships
  • Support the development of Early Careers personnel
  • Provide Project Management support for future bids in the Analysis and Design Portfolio

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Professional PM Qualification or years of practical experience gained through application of Project Management
  • Experience of delivering multi-million-pound projects
  • Knowledge of good Bid practice and process
  • Good experience of being able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Awareness of Business Development and keen to develop this further
  • Able to resolve project related problems that do not have routine solutions
  • Recognised as a Project Manager practitioner
  • Strong project financial management experience including monthly reporting
  • Training experience is a bonus but not essential

The Analysis & Design Portfolio Team:

This is a great chance to work in a growth area in the Analysis and Design Portfolio. The role will be responsible for mobilising and delivering two new contracts on the Canadian Surface Combatant and AUKUS SSNA programmes. It will also offer opportunity to work on new opportunities in the Portfolio and lead new and exciting bids. There will be multiple projects under contract at any given time, the capacity to multitask and adjust to shifting priorities is essential.
