Job Description
Job Title: Senior IT Programme Manager
Location: Barrow in Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Starting from £70,865 per annum – depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Defining the strategy and being accountable for the Programme toolset requirements for the SSNA Systems Programme of IM&T Projects
- Line managing and coaching SSNA Systems portfolio team, including effective staffing and ensuring committee/governance structures are in place
- Ownership of the Project of Projects (circa £100 million), including ensuring that effective controls are in place and reports are provided to management
- Ensuring all portfolio expenditure and financial targets are being met
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including senior Programme and business function networks
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Extensive Bid Management and IT Project Management experience
- Excellent leadership experience
- Proficient with JIRA and Microsoft Project
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the Submarine enterprise
- Recognised Project Management qualification i.e. APMQ or Prince2

The SSNA Programme and Infrastructure team:
You will be entrusted with overseeing a substantial budget to shape the delivery of the IT toolsets used in the SSNA-AUKUS Submarine. This role offers great visibility across the function. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
