Job Description

Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead high-impact, cross-functional logistics and supply chain projects from initial scoping through to successful delivery and handover. You’ll set the direction, build robust delivery plans, control budgets, resources, risks and dependencies, and ensure every project delivers against operational priorities, strategic objectives and measurable return on investment.

Working closely with operations, IT, finance, procurement, vendors and contractors, you’ll drive clear governance, proactive communication and effective decision-making across complex programmes of work. This role will also play an important part in coaching Project Managers, strengthening project controls and embedding continuous improvement across the delivery lifecycle.

  • Oversee vendor, supplier and contractor performance, including delivery quality, commercial control, health and safety, and compliance.
  • Track project milestones, KPIs, benefits, risks and overall performance with associated governance.
  • Present clear, concise updates, recommendations and escalations to senior leadership and project steering groups.
  • Support change management, stakeholder readiness, operational transition and post-project benefit realisation.
  • Maintain strong project documentation, including plans, RAID logs, decisions, approvals, handover packs and lessons learned logs.
  • Mentor and guide Project Managers and project team members, sharing best practice and raising delivery capability across the team.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, IT, procurement and finance teams to ensure projects are commercially robust, operationally viable and strategically aligned.
  • Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes, tools, templates and ways of working.
  • Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
