Job Objectives

  • As part of the Reward Team within Asia Pacific (APAC) Human Resource (HR) team, the role will manage the Payroll Operations in Singapore, the headquarters of the region, alongside with his/her team member.

Job Responsibilities

Payroll Operations:

  • Accountable for monthly payroll processes and adhoc annual payment campaigns (e.g. bonus, incentives, etc) are completed accurately, timely, and compliant with HR policies and processes.
  • Responsible to ensure accurate and timely submission of payments, governmental claims (e.g. Maternity, National Service, Parental Leave, etc) contributions and regulatory tax reportings to various government bodies, i.e. CPF, MOM, IRAS.
  • Support Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to respond to employee inquiries on complex payroll issues and tax enquiries. Able to resolve discrepancies and ensure employees receive correct payments.
  • Collaborates closely with the Singapore Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Team to ensure the C&B campaigns are smoothly managed and implemented.
  • Support business continuity, i.e. continuous back up support to ensure no interruption to the payroll operations in Singapore.
  • Responsible for the data integrity of the information stored in the Airbus’ HRMS. Will be the subject matter expert focal point on the questions relating to the Rewards modules, i.e. payroll, attendance, leave and personnel.
  • Managing HRIS & payroll software with necessary updates to ensure smooth payroll processing. Implementing and testing new payroll or HRIS modules impacting payroll when there are updates / changes.
  • Manage the E-leave system for all leave types for the Company accurately
  • Will be the focal point to liaise with internal/external auditor, government agencies, payroll provider or third party when needed on matters concerning CPF, payroll, MOM, IRAS, etc.
  • Possess strong knowledge on CPF, Singapore tax regulations by IRAS, and Ministry of Manpower (MOM), etc, and provide advice on the impact to Company’s strategies / polices on any regulatory changes.
  • Adept in operations, have a mindset for continuous progression, simplification and harmonization on Payroll operations in Singapore.
  • Responsible for ensuring all Payroll processes and operations are aligned with the One-Roof Human Resource strategy to support Company’s short and long term business strategies in Singapore.
  • Able to objectively define roles and responsibilities for the Singapore Payroll Team.
  • Work closely with the relevant HR stakeholders and to oversee that all HR related policies (e.g. Handbook, C&B policy, etc) concerning Payroll will reflect current, accurate and compliant content with local regulations, Ethics & Compliance policy and Airbus Values.
  • Accountable for all firm-wide communication relating to payroll operational topics.
  • Partner with the Singapore C&B Team to oversee that employees in the Company are correctly enrolled and onboarded to insurance / flexible benefits.

Work Pass Applications:

  • Manage work pass (Employment Pass / S Pass / Dependant Pass / Work Permit) applications and renewals with the vendor to ensure the Company is compliant with the immigration rules.
  • Act as expert and advise on work pass topics.

HRMS Expertise:

  • Adept in the use of the Company’s HRMS ( Human Resource Management System) system (e.g. BIPO, Workday), specifically in payroll related modules.
  • Support in the vendor management of HRMS, ensure quality service delivery from vendor.
  • The successful candidate needs to have the adaptability to work with changing strategies, initiatives, and projects directed by Group and Regional Reward.
  • May be required to support projects directed by Group and/or Regional Rewards.
  • Actively participate to internal company HR networks.

Job Requirements

  • Degree and above in any discipline preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or Economics
  • At least 3 years of working knowledge in Payroll (in-house or as consultant). Strong understanding of taxes and social contributions, etc.
  • Good operational experience within fast pace and complex multinational environment
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer oriented mindset to ensure proper stakeholder management and provide professional HR services to internal customers
  • Strong knowledge of major HR Management Systems (e.g. BIPO, Workday, etc)
  • Highly numeric, analytical mind with sharp attention to detail and excellent statistical skills. Competent in managing excel or G-sheets
  • Effective in presentations (ie. verbal and material references)
  • A good understanding of the CPF, IRAS and MOM legislations
