20 hours per week, 10:00 – 14:00 Monday to Friday

ADS Group are looking to strengthen our world class team by recruiting an Admin Assistant to work within the Security Vetting Team to deliver pre-employment screening services for our member companies.

What will you be doing?

As a Screening Service Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) screening process between our member companies and our third-party screening specialist partner, referring NSV Application requests to our vetting team as required.

This part-time role presents a great opportunity to work in a vital business function for ADS, that supports all our sectors. There will be an opportunity to focus on customer service and liaise with key figures across member companies and government as well as having the opportunity to play a part in shaping this growing service for our members.

This role requires someone with a considered methodical approach, who has excellent attention to detail, and can work independently and as part of a team. The role involves handling sensitive information, liaising with various departments, and maintaining accurate records.

The role sits within the Government Security Services Team in ADS, where you will work alongside the Security Vetting Team and have an opportunity to develop your career in a fascinating sector.

This role will require occasional domestic travel within the United Kingdom and overnight stays.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage and process Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) & BS7858 Check requests from member companies to our third party provider
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all screening activities
  • Liaise with applicants, members and our screening partner, to ensure timely and efficient processing
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the screening process
  • Generate and present reports on screening activities and outcomes to management.
  • Oversee the invoice function for checks undertaken
  • Identify opportunities to improve the screening processes and implement the best practices
  • Delivering information and guidance to our member companies
  • Working with our Marketing and Membership teams to promote and grow the service

What do you need to be successful?

While admin knowledge and experience is important in this job, there are some essential requirements if you are to be reviewed:

  1. You MUST be a British citizen and hold a UK Passport.
  2. You MUST have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years
  3. You MUST be willing and able to gain a medium level security clearance

Other than that, we are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in a screening role
  • Understanding of BPSS Gov.uk Policy & Guidelines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Brilliant communication skills
  • Fantastic organisational skills
