About the team
The global Licensing Services team is responsible to provide market-leading Licensing Services to our clients. The team is growing across EMEA, North America and now in APAC and you will be part of a new team here in Kuala Lumpur. About the role
In this role, you will play a critical role in managing a global team in our licensing services evolution by challenging the status quo, ensuring KPIs are met, optimizing process and tool development for scale and building/maintaining effective relationships with internal and external key partners.
The role involves day-to-day line management of direct reports who will be working across a wide variety of specialized licensing services. The role will ensure our licensing services are closely tailored to client needs and aligned with partner requirements whilst also optimizing services lead time, quality and costs, and acting as a point of technical and client escalation. This role will report to the Head of Licensing & Operations, Client Services.
The role will support the personal growth and career development of the team and future roles at Adaptavist. The primary function of the role will be to support and manage the team on a day-to-day basis. The role will also help drive strategic growth initiatives, execute regular performance analysis, and define/improve/deploy internal department processes as required.

What you'll be doing

  • Build and lead a global team of Licensing Specialists with various levels of skills and seniority working across a variety of client engagements and timezones
  • Providing regular and timely feedback to employees, acknowledging success and areas for improvement.
  • Support and guide direct reports on performance and career development issues in line with Adaptavist’s performance and career development frameworks
  • Apply an in-depth understanding of licensing processes, costs and market intelligence to optimize existing agreements and influence future growth strategies
  • Communicate effectively in a variety of formats with both internal and external audiences to convey status, project findings, updates, strategies, and recommendations as needed
  • Support existing and new licensing partnerships and develop innovative solutions that align client and partner requirements with Adaptavist’s licensing services
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams (eg. Client Services, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Products) regarding business issues and potential solutions
  • Ideate, create and maintain performance dashboards, KPI’s, revenue projections and scorecards to hold stakeholders accountable for the successful delivery of rapid-growth initiatives
  • Control both the quality, costs and schedule with regards to deliverables against licensing SLAs
  • Improve current licenses processes and coordinate change management plans for optimized efficiency and productivity
  • Support operational aspects of team projects including planning engagements; resource management and monitoring against progress
  • Negotiate successfully to resolve internal and external conflicts

What we're looking for

  • Able to contextualize a licensing services offering in relation to the long-term goals of other internal teams and the business as a whole
  • Proven experience managing, coaching and empowering individuals and/or teams
  • Experience developing, implementing, and managing KPIs for the wider team
  • An eagerness to negotiate and achieve a maximum value for Adaptavist in all transactions
  • Experience working in the SaaS space in a relationship-oriented role with different partners and stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; capable of leading through action and influence in a fast-growing and evolving company
  • Experience working within the Atlassian Ecosystem and Slack or any other collaboration tool is a bonus
  • Familiarity in Hubspot is a plus
  • Project management skills is an added advantage
