The role

We are looking for an AI Community Lead to join our new team and hub in San Francisco. This strategic leadership position will connect Prolific with the AI Researcher and Developer community, particularly focused on engaging with AI model developers at a technical level. You'll leverage your strong AI/ML expertise to build credibility, foster relationships, and establish Prolific as a respected authority in the AI infrastructure landscape.

What you'll bring

• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in AI research and ML development
• Proven track record of engaging with technical AI communities
• Experience building and growing technical communities at both individual and group levels
• Ability to contribute original technical insights and thought leadership that resonates with AI researchers and engineers
• Technical credibility to engage effectively in advanced discussions with AI experts and researchers
• Strong analytical approach with the ability to define and measure community impact
• Excellent technical communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts with precision
• Strategic thinking that connects community building to tangible business outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to translate technical community needs into product insights
• Experience creating technical content that establishes authority in AI/ML circles
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive initiatives independently in a fast-paced environment

• Published research or contributions to AI/ML projects
• Experience leading developer relations programs
• Track record of organizing high-value technical in-person events or initiatives
• Established voice in the AI research community through speaking engagements or publications
• Experience building technical proof-of-concepts that demonstrate practical applications
• Background specifically in human data and feedback loops for AI systems

What you'll be doing

• Develop and execute a strategic plan for establishing Prolific's technical credibility in the AI ecosystem
• Engage with AI researchers and developers through meaningful technical discussions and collaborations
• Represent Prolific at technical conferences, research forums, and industry events
• Drive technical education initiatives grounded in advanced AI/ML concepts
• Establish direct feedback channels between the technical AI community and our product teams
• Create original technical content showcasing deep expertise and thought leadership
• Measure and report on community initiatives with clear impact metrics
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Research Science teams to advocate for technical community needs
• Identify strategic partnerships and collaborations within the AI research community
• Develop resources that address sophisticated technical use cases for our platform
