VP - Global HR Data, Reporting and Analytics

What you’ll do

Role title: Global People Data, Reporting & Analytics – Delivery Lead
Function: CFSL HR Services
Sub-function: Global HR Analytics
Reports to: Head of HR Services
Location: Pune


Role purpose:

As the Global People Data, Reporting & Analytics lead, you will lead the end-to-end data, reporting and analytics delivery, operations, and transformation for HR globally. You will be responsible for building, scaling, and managing a high-performing 30+ member team that delivers HR master data management projects & Operations, Global HR reporting, ESG compliance reporting, Advanced analytics, and data governance. This role is pivotal in driving data-led decision-making across the global HR function by leveraging advanced analytics skills and platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and SAP SuccessFactors.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Leadership & Strategy
• Define and execute the global HR data and analytics delivery plans aligned with business and people objectives.
• Lead the transition of global HR reporting and master data management to centralized delivery locations, achieving significant cost savings and operational efficiencies.
• Function as a thought leader in the areas of people analytics, data science, and digital HR transformation.
• Continuous improvement & optimization of service delivery to generate year-on-year efficiency

HR Reporting & Analytics
• Oversee the design and delivery of interactive, self-service dashboards for key HR metrics (e.g., Headcount, Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Acquisition, Performance, Reward etc.)
• Deliver compliance reporting (Environment Safety and Governance – ESG) reports for the CHRO and group leadership.
• Eliminate / Minimize manual reporting by promoting self-service and migration to Self-service dashboards.
• Implement automated reporting and advanced analytics models in various HR and Talent Management Domains (Attrition, Employee Listening, Learning & Development, Career progression, Diversity & Inclusion etc.) leveraging Google Cloud Platform – HR Data Lake

Data Governance & Quality
• Deliver global HR data governance frameworks, including RACI models, business glossaries, and data stewardship practices globally.
• Maximize value generation from Data Quality Tool & continuous improvement of Y-o-Y data accuracy and integrity.

Technology & Innovation
• Continue to enrich Global HR Data Lake on GCP, integrating SAP SuccessFactors and other HR / Non-HR Data sources through pipelines and semantic modeling layers.
• Lead initiatives to modernize and digitize HR services, partnering with IT and functional teams to decommission legacy systems and implement new systems.

Team & Stakeholder Management
• Build and lead a diverse and high-performing team of 30+ professionals across India and Europe.
• Collaborate with global HR leaders, Group People Directors, COE heads, and external suppliers to ensure alignment on business needs, compliance, and delivery excellence.
• Drive capability development, mentorship, and succession planning within the data & analytics function.

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:
• Strong expertise in SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central, Talent modules, Workforce Analytics).
• Deep understanding of people data models, HR metrics, and employee lifecycle data.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform or any other enterprise Cloud Data Lake such as Azure or AWS including BigQuery.
• Exposure to designing and deploying machine learning models for HR use cases

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• MBA in HR (Preferred)
• Experience in SAP SuccessFactors or other Global HR Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• Large-scale HR transformation or data modernization programs.
• Certifications in SAP SuccessFactors, Google Cloud, or ML/AI platforms (Preferred)


Key performance indicators:
• Data, Analytics and Dashboard solutions designed & delivered on time, and within budget.
• Customer Satisfaction Index


Qualifications & Experience
• 15+ years of experience in global HR data, reporting, analytics, and digital HR transformation roles.
• Proven record of delivering large-scale programs and leading global delivery teams.
• Expertise in SAP SuccessFactors or any Global HR and Talent Management system, Power BI, Scaled Agile methodology, Exposure to (BigQuery, Vertex AI), and data lake architectures.
• Expertise in setting up Global data governance & controls, compliance reporting (ESG)
• Leadership in transitioning services to shared delivery models and commercial shared operations.
• Certifications in PMP, Scaled Agile (Preferred)
