Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Leader, you will be accountable for our most Complex transition and transformation ICT (Information Communication Technology) change programmes from pre-sales to in-life services, planning and delivering successful outcomes for Vodafone and our customers. The Senior Programme Manager will lead autonomously, setting the direction and roadmap, providing thought leadership and strategies to influence and realise the programme benefits and outcomes, driving best-in-class practice and developing our people across the group.
The Senior Programme Manager is also responsible, with best practice support and direction from the Profession function, for the direct line management and leadership of project resources who are at varying levels in their careers.
Leadership, Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Establishes strong relationships across Vodafone, customers and vendors at all levels. Uses data and analysis to present and provide insight and influence decision-making at a senior stakeholder level.
- Leads large matrix teams across Vodafone, customers and vendors, fostering a collaborative/inclusive working culture.
- Direct line management of up to 8 project colleagues
Pre-sales engagement
- Works with the bid team to define delivery strategies to shape and influence the response on large complex bids.
- Leads the programme response on Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Provides a consultative approach during the bid, presenting to clients around our Service, Product offerings and delivery strategies.
Programme Management
- Plans, creates and directs the team to deliver the programme roadmap and strategy from inception to in-life operations to realise the programme outcomes and benefits.
- Takes full accountability leading and driving best practice and compliance to governance and policies.
- Uses methods to evaluate performance, and where there is a need puts in strategies and measures for improvements.
Commercial Management
- Drives revenue and margin improvements through a deep understanding of the contract, and Profit and Loss (P&L).
- Establishes and manages budgets, deliverables, milestones and timescales to ensure all contractual obligations are met & programme benefits are measured.
Risk & Issue Management
- Assesses and evaluates Programme Issues, Risks, Dependencies and defines strategies to manage impact on the contract and P&L benefits and outcomes.
Continuous Improvement and Best practice
- Identifies and leads on lessons learned/continuous improvement driving efficiencies and productivity across processes and people.
- Provides mentoring for Project and Programme Managers across the practice working alongside the management team to develop our people.
Who you are
- Passionate, highly motivated and driven with excellent problem-solving skills, able to deal with ambiguity and the pace of change across the sector.
- Extensive track record in delivering large/complex, multi-tower, customer facing, ICT programmes.
- Pre-sales experience, leading and shaping Delivery strategies to clients. Experience in responding to bid PQQs and RFPs.
- Evidence margin and revenue improvements across Programmes.
- Provides a QA and consultative approach to leading the team, providing coaching and mentoring to align to best practice, governance and policies.
- Strong and robust Programme reporting with a focus on Risk, Issues, Dependencies and impact on benefits and outcomes.
- Create and develop high performing teams to support the customer delivery organisation, supported by best in class resources and the Profession Function.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports in order to assist development plans and support career progression.
- MSP Practitioner
- Prince 2 Practitioner and/or PMI PMP
- Six Sigma and Agile experience is desirable
- Eligible for SC clearance
