Job Description

Location: Hybrid Working

Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Duration: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Hybrid

We believe that through collaboration and connection with our colleagues we can achieve great things. Our hybrid working approach allows our people to work both in the office and at home, providing the flexibility and resources you need to succeed in your role. We don't require you to be in on specific days; instead, we ask people to come into the office 2-3 days each week, for at least 8 days per month. You should work with your line manager to understand what their expectations are for you, your specific role and your team.

Who We Are

We’re here to build a network the UK can count on – one that connects people, places and potential. Because no matter where you live, what your background is, or how you get online – we think everyone deserves the same chance to stay connected, and with VodafoneThree, that future’s being built – today.

We’re creating more than the UK’s best network. We’re helping close the digital divide, empower communities and drive meaningful progress.

We believe that everyone should feel they belong. Whoever you are and whatever your story, there’s space for you here. We’re building a workplace where different perspectives are welcomed, voices are heard, and everyone feels safe to show up as themselves.

You’ll join a team that genuinely cares – about each other, about our customers, and about the future we’re building. From day one, you’ll be welcomed, valued and encouraged to bring your whole self to work.

Why VodafoneThree

Join us and you’ll be at the heart of change. That means building responsibly, investing sustainably and creating opportunities that last.

We’re not just expanding connectivity; we’re reimagining what a connected nation looks like. With £11bn invested in 5G and digital infrastructure, your work will directly power businesses, services, and communities across the country.

You’ll work on real challenges, with real impact, across every corner of the country. Wherever you join us, whatever your role, you’ll be helping to build a future that works better for everyone.

We move at pace, because what we’re building matters – and we’re learning as we go. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but we’re just getting started.

Join our retail teams to be the friendly face our customers see as they walk into one of our stores. Where it’s our job to connect with our customers, helping them to get the most out of their technology, whilst providing an outstanding and memorable experience.

What you’ll do

This role is responsible for the production, maintenance and continuous improvement of performance reporting across Vodafone and Three Retail. Acting as a subject matter expert for Retail reporting, the role ensures reporting is accurate, timely and fit for purpose, supporting performance management, trading discussions, forecasting activities and operational decision-making.

The role applies specialist knowledge of reporting, data analysis and Retail performance metrics across acquisition, retention, customer value and channel performance. It is responsible for validating data, identifying trends, investigating variances and translating complex information into clear and actionable insight for stakeholders across the Retail function.

Working independently, the role gathers and analyses information from multiple data sources, resolving issues where possible and collaborating with relevant teams to address more complex data or reporting challenges. The role contributes to the ongoing development of reporting measures, methodologies and governance processes to ensure reporting remains aligned with business requirements and performance objectives.

As an individual contributor, the role has no direct people management responsibility but plays an important part in maintaining reporting quality and consistency across Retail. The role supports major trading events, promotions, launches and non-BAU activities through the delivery of reliable reporting and insight, helping stakeholders understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Produce, maintain and continuously improve performance reporting across Three and Vodafone Retail, ensuring data and insight are accurate, timely, consistent and fit for purpose.
  • Maintain reporting governance and quality controls, including documented measures, definitions and validation processes, to support consistent interpretation of Retail performance across the area.
  • Support Retail budget, rolling forecast and in-period outlook activity by providing validated performance data, analysis and insight, investigating variances and constructively challenging assumptions where appropriate.
  • Investigate complex performance questions by reconciling and validating multiple quantitative and qualitative data sources, resolving issues independently where possible and escalating to relevant specialist teams when further support is required.
  • Translate complex commercial information into clear, accessible insight for the Channel Performance Lead, Multi-Channel Trade Lead, Product Owners and cross-functional stakeholders, enabling informed decisions and prioritisation.
  • Provide reporting and performance insight for major promotions and product launches, supporting the definition of success measures and assessing performance across volume, value, acquisition, retention and channel mix.
  • Identify, quantify and report Retail risks and opportunities, providing evidence-based insight and, where appropriate, recommendations to support stakeholder decisions and delivery of the plan.
  • Act as a point of expertise for Retail reporting and data queries, investigating root causes, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve complex issues and protecting the quality and timeliness of business-critical reporting.

Who you are

  • Substantial experience in performance reporting, forecasting support and commercial analysis, with a proven track record of producing accurate, timely and business-critical reporting and insight to support performance management and decision-making.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including Power Pivot, Power Query, complex modelling and advanced formulas, with experience maintaining reporting accuracy, validating outputs and improving reporting processes.
  • Advanced SQL capability, with the ability to query, manipulate, reconcile and validate complex datasets from multiple sources and investigate data quality issues.
  • Advanced Power BI experience, including dashboard development, report maintenance, visualisation design and continuous improvement of reporting solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Experience supporting budget, rolling forecast and in-period trading activities, through the provision of robust performance reporting, analysis and insight, including the investigation of variances and performance drivers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through complex or ambiguous issues, validate information from multiple sources and identify meaningful performance trends and insights.
  • Well-developed stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.
