Job Description

Location: London + Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Hybrid

We believe that through collaboration and connection with our colleagues we can achieve great things. Our hybrid working approach allows our people to work both in the office and at home, providing the flexibility and resources you need to succeed in your role. We don't require you to be in on specific days; instead, we ask people to come into the office 2-3 days each week, for at least 8 days per month. You should work with your line manager to understand what their expectations are for you, your specific role and your team.

Who We Are

We’re here to build a network the UK can count on – one that connects people, places and potential. Because no matter where you live, what your background is, or how you get online – we think everyone deserves the same chance to stay connected, and with VodafoneThree, that future’s being built – today.

We’re creating more than the UK’s best network. We’re helping close the digital divide, empower communities and drive meaningful progress.

We believe that everyone should feel they belong. Whoever you are and whatever your story, there’s space for you here. We’re building a workplace where different perspectives are welcomed, voices are heard, and everyone feels safe to show up as themselves.

You’ll join a team that genuinely cares – about each other, about our customers, and about the future we’re building. From day one, you’ll be welcomed, valued and encouraged to bring your whole self to work.

Why VodafoneThree

Join us and you’ll be at the heart of change. That means building responsibly, investing sustainably and creating opportunities that last.

We’re not just expanding connectivity; we’re reimagining what a connected nation looks like. With £11bn invested in 5G and digital infrastructure, your work will directly power businesses, services, and communities across the country.

You’ll work on real challenges, with real impact, across every corner of the country. Wherever you join us, whatever your role, you’ll be helping to build a future that works better for everyone.

We move at pace, because what we’re building matters – and we’re learning as we go. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but we’re just getting started.

Join us at the heart of our business in Corporate, one of the central support functions that underpin our business and keep us moving forward. We provide centralised support, expertise and guidance across our UK and Group operations, continuing to build on our success and trailblazing the way to our next stage of digital growth.

What you’ll do

This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of one of the UK's largest telecommunications businesses. As we bring together two iconic brands to create VodafoneThree, you will play a key role in supporting customer-focused innovation while helping the business navigate an evolving legal and regulatory landscape. Working alongside talented colleagues across Legal, Marketing, Brand and Commercial teams, you will provide practical, commercially focused legal guidance that enables great customer experiences while protecting the business from risk.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide high-quality, pragmatic legal advice on UK consumer protection, advertising, marketing and financial promotions laws across a wide range of business initiatives.
  • Support the development of customer propositions, marketing campaigns and brand activity by identifying legal and regulatory requirements and helping teams make informed decisions.
  • Partner with colleagues across Consumer, Marketing and Brand teams to deliver timely, commercially focused legal guidance aligned to business priorities.
  • Assess legal and regulatory risks, recommending proportionate solutions that support business growth while maintaining compliance.
  • Contribute to robust legal assurance frameworks that help minimise regulatory, financial and reputational risk.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across VodafoneThree, enabling effective collaboration and positive business outcomes.
  • Support the delivery of training, guidance and knowledge-sharing initiatives that increase legal awareness and empower teams to self-serve where appropriate.
  • Help improve legal processes by identifying opportunities for simplification, automation and greater efficiency.
  • Engage with external stakeholders including regulators, industry bodies, agencies, external counsel and strategic partners when required.
  • Stay informed about legislative and regulatory developments, sharing insights and helping the business respond proactively to change.
  • Contribute to a supportive, inclusive team culture where ideas, learning and continuous improvement are valued.

Who you are

  • A law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Significant experience working as a Paralegal advising on consumer law, advertising, marketing and financial promotions regulation.
  • Ideally, experience within the telecommunications sector or a strong understanding of the regulatory environment in technology, digital or consumer-facing industries.
  • An understanding of UK consumer protection legislation and the ability to apply legal principles to practical business situations.
  • The confidence to manage your own workload and caseload, taking ownership while knowing when to seek guidance and support.
  • Strong legal analysis skills, with the ability to identify key issues, evaluate risk and recommend balanced, pragmatic solutions.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in understanding how legal advice can support business objectives and customer outcomes.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and influence effectively at different levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and tailor messages to different audiences.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and a willingness to embrace new challenges, feedback and development opportunities.
  • An interest in process improvement, including the use of technology, automation and scalable ways of working to enhance legal service delivery.
  • A collaborative mindset and genuine enthusiasm for working as part of an inclusive, supportive and high-performing team.
  • A commitment to fostering respectful relationships, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive team culture where everyone can thrive.
