Role Purpose

Senior individual contributor supporting the execution and governance of the Technology Strategy by coordinating and overseeing defined strategic streams and initiatives across Technology and Business. The role focuses on structuring execution, enabling governance, and providing insights and recommendations with the following accountabilities.

Technology Strategy Enablement & Strategic Streams Governance

  • Support consolidation and execution enablement of the Technology Strategy and 3-year DB & LRP roadmap.
  • Coordinate governance of assigned strategic streams or major initiatives across Technology and Business.
  • Translate strategic direction into structured plans, milestones, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Support embedding Technology strategic priorities within assigned programs and taskforces.

Governance & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Coordinate governance activities to support alignment of local Technology plans with Vodafone Group strategy.
  • Facilitate alignment between Technology, Commercial, Business, and Finance at working and senior-working levels.
  • Contribute to Technology and Business governance forums and escalate risks and issues to the area Manager.

Investment, Business Case & Budget Support

  • Support analysis and prioritization of Technology initiatives across strategic streams.
  • Coordinate preparation and review of business cases for CAB, IRC, DB, and other investment forums.
  • Provide analytical support for budget defence and investment discussions.

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Coordinate consolidation of progress reporting, KPIs, risks, dependencies, and financial performance across assigned streams.
  • Prepare management-level reporting materials for internal and Group forums.
  • Identify delivery and dependency risks impacting Technology Strategy execution and recommend mitigation actions.

R&D, Ecosystem & Communication Support

  • Support governance of the Technology R&D roadmap and NTRA R&D initiatives.

Coordinate Technology inputs into partnerships with NTI, MCIT, and universities.

  • Study and review vendors roadmaps in alignment with Vodafone Strategy.
  • Support preparation of Technology strategy communications and updates in collaboration with the CTO Office

Role Profile

  • Technology Strategy Enablement & Strategic Streams Governance
  • Coordinate preparation and review of business cases for CAB, IRC, DB, and other investment forums with CTO/CFO/CEO
  • Support in formulating LRP (3 years) fully integrated Technology Strategy after applying Gap analysis in all domains, study vendors’ roadmaps, Group guidance and analysing business requirements and local Regulatory dynamics. Moreover ensuring the operational/implementation capabilities of the Strategy across all domains.
  • Ensure Strategy implementation in different domains and ensure that the Strategy is fed and aligned into all Budget submissions.
  • Support in driving, governance & formulation of the big tickets strategy "5G, AI, Satellite Communications,.." and implementation plans across all Technology domains and ensure the E2E full integration of all plans

Core Competencies and Qualifications

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  • 10-14 years of experience in IT & Network
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the telecommunications industry
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Achiever and results oriented
  • Strong Financial Experience

Must have professional qualifications:

  • B.Sc. Degree In Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science
  • Strong Financial and Technical knowledge
  • Automation skills
  • Vendor Management knowledge is a plus
