Join Us

At Vodafone, we’re not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers – we’re shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, you’re part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world. If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.

What you’ll do

The Supply Chain ESG Specialist supports the delivery of Vodafone’s Supply Chain ESG strategy across suppliers, categories, and markets. The role focuses on ESG performance management, supplier engagement, and support for ESG reporting, governance, and communications.
The role is based in Vodafone Procure & Connect (VP&C) in Luxembourg and reports to Vodafone Group’s Sustainable Business Team, which defines global sustainability strategy and partners with business units to drive delivery. This is a growing area of focus, offering exposure to ESG subject matter experts and broad stakeholder engagement across Vodafone and its supplier base. The successful candidate will be self-driven, comfortable creating new ways of working, and possess strong communication and programme management skills.

1. ESG performance management

Support ESG target setting for Supply Chain teams and markets.
Track progress against ESG KPIs through dashboards covering performance, coverage, risk indicators, and reporting status.
Maintain ESG data systems and dashboards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.
Identify data gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities through basic analysis and trend tracking.
Engage with category managers to align key suppliers with Vodafone’s environmental KPIs, climate transition pathways, and reporting expectations.
Develop guidance, templates, and training materials to support understanding of ESG KPIs, carbon methodologies, and supplier assessments.
Facilitate workshops and learning sessions to embed ESG into BAU procurement activities.

2. Supplier engagement

Support supplier onboarding and administration of sustainability platforms and reporting requirements.
Prepare guidance, communications, and training for suppliers on ESG expectations, assessments, and conflict minerals.
Act as a first point of contact for supplier ESG queries, escalating complex issues as needed.
Support ESG assessments within RFQs and integration of results into scoring models.
Maintain accurate supplier ESG data and support analysis to identify trends and gaps.
Issue and track supplier improvement plans and manage post-contract ESG performance against KPIs.

3. ESG reporting and disclosures

Support ESG reporting and external disclosures (e.g. Annual Report, EcoVadis, CDP, Modern Slavery, Conflict Minerals).
Coordinate ESG data collection, validation, and consolidation across environmental, social, and governance metrics.
Support alignment with recognised standards and regulations (e.g. CSRD, GRI, SASB, TCFD).
Assist audits, assurance activities, governance forums, and due diligence processes, maintaining evidence packs and audit trails.

4. ESG governance and communications

Support ESG governance forums through agenda preparation, action tracking, and documentation management.
Maintain ESG policies, frameworks, and guidance materials.
Support internal and external ESG communications, presentations, and content development.
Maintain a library of approved ESG definitions, key messages, and disclosures to ensure consistency.

Who you are

• Strong project management, analytical skills and comfort working with data.
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including procurement and finance teams.
• Proactive, collaborative, and detail oriented approach to problem solving and ability to work independently.
