What you’ll do

The Supply Chain Environmental Specialist supports the development and delivery of Vodafone’s environmental strategy across supply chain categories and markets. The role focuses on category-level climate transition planning, supplier engagement, emissions reduction, and capability building within procurement, ensuring purchased goods and services align with Vodafone’s 2030 reduction milestones and 2040 Net Zero ambition.

Support the implementation of sustainable procurement processes, including environmental requirements and contract terms.
Partner with category managers to embed carbon reduction targets, environmental KPIs, and climate-aligned supplier selection.
Provide climate data, insights, and analysis to support responsible sourcing decisions.
Support ESG assessments within RFQs, guiding suppliers and integrating results into scoring models.

3. Supplier engagement & performance management

Manage supplier performance against ESG contractual commitments and KPIs.
Drive supplier alignment with Vodafone’s environmental targets, reporting, and transition pathways.
Issue and track supplier improvement plans, escalating risks where required.
Participate in supplier reviews to support credible decarbonisation and improved environmental performance.

4. Capability building for procurement teams

Deliver training, tools, and guidance to strengthen environmental capability across procurement.
Develop templates, guidance, and onboarding materials covering KPIs, carbon methodologies, and assessments.
Facilitate workshops and learning sessions to embed sustainability into BAU procurement activities.

5. Environmental data, reporting & governance

Support consolidation and validation of supplier climate data for category strategies, CSRD, and internal reporting.
Maintain category-level environmental KPIs and provide progress updates to leadership.
Provide accurate and timely supply chain environmental data to Group Finance.

Who you are
