Role Detail

Position Title: Senior Manager, Sales & Business Development
Location: East Coast, USA
Company: Vodafone IoT USA Inc

Role Purpose

Responsible for developing and executing the sales and business development strategy for Vodafone IoT in the U.S. The role focuses on acquiring new customers (hunting) and building strategic partnerships to drive growth in the IoT market.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership

  • Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy for IoT products and services in the U.S.
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level decision-makers at multinational enterprises.
  • Identify new business opportunities and lead complex sales cycles.
  • Manage the entire sales process, including contract negotiations and deal closure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Marketing, Delivery, Finance) to ensure customer-centric solutions.
  • Support the channel partner program (referral, reseller, and integrator agreements).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, data privacy, and security requirements.
  • Deliver training, as needed, to sales and service management colleagues.

Core Competencies

  • Proven track record in selling technology or IoT solutions to enterprise customers.
  • At least 8 years of deep understanding of the U.S. market and IoT industry.
  • Experience in building partner ecosystems and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Experience in developing G2M strategies and business development

Key Qualifications

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence others

Key Performance Indicators

  • Annual Revenue Growth: Achieve or exceed set revenue targets for IoT solutions.
  • New Customer Acquisition: Number of new enterprise accounts closed per quarter.
  • Pipeline Development: Maintain a healthy pipeline with opportunities aligned to strategic goals.
  • Partner Engagement: Increase the number of active channel partners and joint deals.
  • Customer Retention: Ensure high renewal rates and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Sales Cycle Efficiency: Reduce average time-to-close for strategic deals.

Compensation Range (base salary)

$180,000 - $250,000 / yr

The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
