Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management
- Administration of servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems.
- Manage system upgrades, patches, and configurations.

Network & Security
- Administration of firewalls, VPNs, and network devices to maintain secure connectivity from Operating Systems.
- Implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity measures including intrusion detection and vulnerability management.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.
- Cloud & Virtualization
- Management of hybrid cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or equivalents.
- Oversight of virtualization platforms including VMware, Acropolis, Red Hat OpenShift and equivalents
- Optimization of resource allocation and scalability.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Development and maintenance of backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Conduct regular testing of recovery procedures.
- Ensuring business continuity in case of system failures

• Collaboration & Leadership
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior administrators and IT staff.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align IT infrastructure with business goals.
- Acting as a subject matter expert for infrastructure-related projects.

• Monitoring & Reporting
- Implementation of monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Generation of performance and capacity reports for management.
- Recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in:
• Windows and Linux server administration
• Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching and equivalents)
• Virtualization (VMware, Acropolis and Red hat OpenShift)
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Experience with IT security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (script, PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Relevant 3 years in a senior role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure administration related to data centre management /Server, Racking, Cabling, Alarm reporting systems or…

Preferred Certifications
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP, VCF or equivalents)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA/CCNP)
• CompTIA Security+ or CISSP

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with occasional on-call responsibilities.
• Hybrid work environment depending on organizational policy.
• May require travel to data centers or branch offices .
