At Vodafone, we’re not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers – we’re shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, you’re part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world. If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.

What you’ll do

As Senior Personal Assistant to the Group External Affairs Director, this role plays a key part in enabling senior leadership effectiveness through proactive, high-quality and confidential support. It sits at the heart of the External Affairs function, supporting the ExCo member, Senior Leadership Team and Front Office, while acting as a role model across the wider PA community.
The role requires a strong understanding of leadership priorities, ensuring alignment with the ExCo member’s goals and supporting their successful delivery through structured planning, coordination and execution. You will:

  • Deliver high-quality, proactive and professional support in a fast-paced environment, building strong relationships with cross-functional partners and administrative networks across the CEO Office, Group and Local Markets.
  • Manage complex diaries and calendars, applying sound judgement to prioritisation and ensuring optimal scheduling and time management.
  • Ensure the ExCo member is fully prepared for all engagements, including agenda setting, preparation of pre-reads and tracking of follow-up actions, working closely with the Business Manager.
  • Oversee core operational processes, including travel arrangements, approvals, expenses, purchasing orders and budget tracking, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the team.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior government offices, ensuring professional and effective communication at the highest level.
  • Lead the coordination of leadership team meetings, events, forums and conferences, including logistics such as travel, accommodation and catering.
  • Communicate complex and often confidential information with clarity and discretion, demonstrating strong diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Act as a key point of contact on behalf of the ExCo member for internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders and government representatives.
  • Provide guidance and informal support to new team members and contribute to the wider PA community.

Who you are

  • You combine a proactive mindset with strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to build lasting relationships, anticipate needs and deliver with confidence and discretion.
  • Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to understand priorities, identify key stakeholders and build sustainable relationships that support business outcomes.
  • A strong sense of ownership, proactively addressing challenges, investigating root causes and identifying effective solutions.
  • Resilient and adaptable, maintaining a positive approach and learning from experience in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organisational capability, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, stakeholders and priorities simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrating tact and diplomacy, particularly when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Board or ExCo-level PA experience, with a strong understanding of senior leadership environments.
  • Outstanding organisational and planning skills, with attention to detail.
  • High level of flexibility, adapting quickly to changing priorities and demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong PowerPoint capability.
