About this Role

We are seeking a seasoned cybersecurity professional to join our Cyber Security team as an Application In-Life Assessment (AILA) Assessor. This role is pivotal in conducting architecture reviews, evaluating security risks, and ensuring compliance across Vodafone products and services. The individual will serve as a trusted advisor, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders globally to deliver secure, compliant, and innovative solutions. The role is based in Pune or Bangalore and sits within the VOIS Cybersecurity Global Service Line.

What you will do

  • Lead and perform Application In-Life Assessments to evaluate security architecture and risk.
  • Provide security requirements aligned with business and technical needs.
  • Analyse designs and ensure compliance with Vodafone’s security policies and best practices.
  • Identify and enhance controls to maintain regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders and manage expectations effectively.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiency across cybersecurity functions.
  • Escalate risks and concerns proactively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Represent the AILA leadership team in strategic decision-making.

Who you are

  • 10–15 years of experience in IT security, with strong expertise in Security Architecture and Perimeter Security (Firewall, VPN, Proxy, Network Engineering).
  • Proficient in Information Security Risk Assessment, including Cloud, Data Centre, and Application Security.
  • Familiar with OWASP “Security by Design” and Risk Frameworks.
  • Experienced with standards/frameworks such as ISO27001, ISO22301, ISO31001, NIST 800-53, OWASP.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Able to simplify complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Advantageous if certified in CISA, CISM, ISO 27001/31001, or ITIL/SCRUM/Lean Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, Data Privacy, and Information Protection.
  • Experience in telecoms or IP networks is a plus.
