About this Role

We are seeking a Secure by Design – Cyber Security Specialist to join our Global Cyber Strategy & Secure by Design team. This role acts as a bridge between technical disciplines and business functions, ensuring that Vodafone’s products, services, and infrastructure are secure from inception. The individual will lead technically oriented security assessments, define security requirements, and advise on architecture and design. A key focus will be implementing secure by design principles for Cyber Services (Cyber4Cyber), supporting agile teams and coaching Security Champions to embed security into every stage of development.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct security assessments and define requirements for new products and services.
  • Provide expert guidance on security architecture and design across business units.
  • Act as a cyber coach to agile projects and programme teams globally.
  • Ensure compliance with Vodafone’s security standards for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Risk & Compliance, Ethical Hacking, and Security Operations.
  • Influence the risk posture of products and services and support commercial launch decisions.
  • Promote security as a business enabler and differentiator.

For Cyber Requirements

  • Expertise in cloud security, specifically with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience in securing products and services deployed for cyber teams, such as SIEM/SOC environments.
  • Understanding of AI-related security requirements, ensuring robust protection and compliance for AI-driven solutions.

Who you are

  • Proven experience in IT and cyber security, with strong expertise in cloud environments (Azure and GCP).
  • Demonstrated ability to secure products and services for cyber teams, including MS Defender and Google Cloud Security tools.
  • Preferred experience in securing AI-related solutions and technologies used in SIEM, endpoint protection, and SOC.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • University degree in Information Security or equivalent.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor (MS and GCP certifications preferred).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in cyber security, with at least 3 years in Microsoft and GCP services.
