About this Role

We are seeking a Secure by Design Consultant to join our Global Cyber Strategy & Secure by Design team. This role acts as a bridge between technical disciplines and business units, ensuring security is embedded into the design of Vodafone Cloud & Infrastructure (VCI) services. You will conduct security assessments, define security requirements for new products and services, and provide expert guidance on compliance and risk mitigation. The position also involves advising agile project teams, coaching security champions, and ensuring future infrastructures and products are secure by design.

What you’ll do

Perform technically oriented security assessments for new products, services, and infrastructures.
Define and communicate security requirements and ensure compliance with Vodafone’s security standards.
Provide security design and architecture guidance across business units.
Act as a cyber coach for agile projects and programme teams.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and third parties, to maintain security standards.
Influence security posture for global products and services, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.

Who you are

Experienced professional with at least 5+ years in cyber security and 3+ years in cloud service security.
Strong knowledge of securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI), connectivity, user access management, and network infrastructure.
Familiarity with DNS technology, Apache Kafka, container networking, and API-driven infrastructure.
Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical matters to non-technical stakeholders.
Holds a university degree in Information Security or equivalent, plus certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, GIAC, TOGAF, or SABSA.
