OSS Expert Solution Manager, responsible for the solution roadmap, engineering development, technical design assurance and lifecycle management of GIS solutions to support network development, network operations and consumer operations processes, improve levels of operational intelligence and enhance the end customer network experience. digitisation of network deployment processes and network operations teams.

What you’ll do

  • Receive and evaluate business requirements;
  • Evaluate feasible and best solution from an IT architecture and operation’s perspective;
  • Translate business requirements into technical solution proposal;
  • Coordinate generation of detailed design for development;
  • Evaluate fulfilment of required features;
  • Implement new software version with ensured operational support;
  • Managing Customer expectations and driving delivery;
  • Managing third party suppliers;
  • Deliver estimations for requested adaptions;
  • Reporting and Management internally within OSS;
  • Ensure technical deliveries are on time, in budget, and to the desired standard;
  • Ensure support and maintenance of implemented software and systems;
  • Build and design system infrastructure;
  • Plan and negotiate license agreements;
  • Ensure infrastructure is aligned with security requirements;
  • Manage/support operational team;
  • Secure support, maintenance and upgrades;
  • Plan and request budget for maintenance and developments;
  • Produce high quality, comprehensive and coherent IT specifications; Input for business cases & impact assessments; RFPs;
  • To provide knowledge and expertise within and outside the OSS team, and provide leadership to cross-functional development and problem-solving teams.

Who you are

  • BSc level degree in Geographic Information Systems or higher or IT/engineering discipline;
  • 2+ years’ experience in development/delivery of GIS applications;
  • Knowledge and technical delivery experience of GIS platform & application design;
  • Experience with ESRI products (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro);
  • Experience with SAFE (FME Form, FME Flow);
  • Basic knowledge in administration of server infrastructure (Linux, Windows);
  • Basic knowledge of RDBMS (e.g. Oracle);
  • Basic understanding of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP);
  • Knowledge of common IT development frameworks and domains’ specific software tools and IT, including Jira and Confluence (having AGILE-SAFE mindset as foundation);
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
  • Fluency in English.
