What you’ll do

  • Work alongside colleagues in OSS, IT Architecture, Network Architects, Service Designers, Business Analysts, customers, and vendors to provide input into strategic roadmaps; and develop and deliver both large and small development enhancements. Responsible for technical external deliveries to ensure they are fit for purpose, and sustainable for ongoing support. Build relationships with vendors and 3rd parties to enhance future deliveries Technical Design lead within OSS: evaluate new network and IT technologies, ensure systems are aligned to Vodafone strategy, meeting customer requirements and ensuring a sustainable support model. Working with various teams to define and validate solutions are fit for purpose, carry out lab testing and PoC validation as required.
  • Knowledge of most common IT development frameworks and domains’ specific software tools and IT, including Jira and Confluence (having AGILE-SAFE mindset as foundation)
  • Lead Project deliveries
    • Managing Customer expectations and driving the delivery
      • Managing third party suppliers
      • Reporting and Management internally within OSS
      • Ensure technical deliveries are on time, in budget, and to the desired standard. Provide or ensure support for live deployments is available in line with project needs.
    • Produce high quality, comprehensive and coherent IT specifications; Input for business cases & impact assessments; RFPs;
    • To provide knowledge and expertise within and outside the OSS team, and provide leadership to cross-functional development and problem-solving teams.

Who you are

  • Knowledge and technical delivery experience of GIS platform & application design.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills
  • Previous experience with ESRI Enterprise.
  • Competent understanding of compute platforms, such as GCP, Linux, K8
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • BSc level degree or higher in a relevant IT or engineering discipline , Ideally, 2+ years’ experience in telecommunications in a development/delivery role
