About this Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer to support testing activities across digital video and IPTV platforms. This role is ideal for an individual with 2–3 years of experience in manual testing within OTT, IPTV, or broadcast environments, who enjoys working across diverse devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to high-quality customer-facing video solutions.

What you will do

  • Analyse requirements and collaborate with client and product teams to clarify functional and technical expectations.
  • Design, review, and execute manual test cases across multiple video platforms including Set Top Boxes, mobile devices, Smart TVs, Apple TV, and Fire TV
  • Perform end-to-end test execution across IPTV and OTT projects
  • Log, track, and retest defects using standard defect management tools
  • Conduct log and network analysis to support issue identification and resolutionValidate APIs using tools such as Postman or equivalent
  • Prepare and share daily status reports with stakeholders and management
  • Support system and integration testing for video features and platform enhancements

Who you are

  • A graduate in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline
  • Experienced in manual testing within digital video, IPTV, or OTT environments
  • Familiar with testing Cable and Satellite Set Top Boxes
  • Knowledgeable in API testing, video management platforms, and media workflows
  • Comfortable working with ABR streaming protocols such as MPEG-DASH and HLS
  • Experienced in analysing network traffic using tools like Wireshark, Fiddler, or Charles Proxy
  • A clear communicator with strong written and verbal English skillsAnalytical, logical, and able to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Adaptable and comfortable working with geographically distributed and multicultural teams
  • Open to learning and thriving in a fast-changing technology environment
