Senior Analyst PTP Query Management

Role Purpose/Business Unit:

Senior Analyst: Payment Query Management will be a member of the FinOps team managing the
end to end payment query processes for the South African business in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with defined operating

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and enhancing strong working relationships with all Vodacom’s vendors, including Real Estate.
  • Management of the Vendor Query Desk to ensure resolution of all vendor queries within the required timeframes, including Real Estate vendors.
  • Support Principal Specialist – P2P, Opex and T&E with hosting monthly Vendor Care Days.
  • Ongoing relationship for P2P between local market and VOIS.
  • Support actions from monthly vendor reconciliation process.
  • Support vendors with onboarding process and usage of the Digital platforms
  • Manage the Payables Balance Sheet reconciliations at month end and resolve aging items
  • Support with Payables audit queries Internal/External

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Bcom/Relevant finance/accounting related diploma
  • SAP knowledge will be an advantage
  • 4-6 years experience in a transactional financial operational environment, ideally within a shared services centre
  • 4-6 years experience in Accounts Payable function, ideally within a shared services centre
  • Exposure to shared services
  • SAP, Excel, Power Point

Job Knowledge:

  • End to end knowledge of Procure to Pay process.
  • Good understanding of timely vendor query resolution
  • Good understanding of impact of Procure to Pay process on overall business
