About this Role

We are seeking an IT Budget Analyst to support VB Group Portfolios in managing and tracking budgets effectively. This role involves overseeing the budget tracker, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing procurement processes, and partnering with Finance and senior stakeholders to maintain compliance and optimise spend. The individual will play a key role in forecasting, variance analysis, and identifying risks and opportunities within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with LPM and portfolio budget owners to capture and maintain the latest full-year outlook in the budget tracker, ensuring alignment with plans and accounting rules.
  • Control portfolio budgets as per governance approvals and communicate spend risks and opportunities to Finance through regular interactions.
  • Perform project accounting activities including monthly forecasting, commitment receipting, month-end reconciliation, SAP budget setup, and variance reporting.
  • Ensure the budget tracker reflects Finance ledger/SAP actuals, commitments, and latest spend outlook.
  • Partner with Finance, Vodafone Procurement, vendor management, and senior stakeholders for effective budget control.
  • Consolidate and manage financial reporting and ad-hoc reporting requirements across portfolios.
  • Run regular calls with portfolio teams to review outlook and provide advisory support on budget-related decisions.
  • Communicate cost planning and financial processes to enable accurate budget management by stakeholders.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to simplify and automate cost planning activities and processes.

Who you are

  • Experienced in managing programme Capex budgets at a detailed level.
  • Skilled in SAP Finance & Accounting with a strong understanding of cost treatment and accounting rules.
  • Proven ability to work in complex environments with virtual teams in a matrix organisation.
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Background in IT Delivery, Business Transformation, or PMO environments.
  • Holds a university degree in business economics, financial management, information management, or similar.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).Telecoms industry experience or exposure to similar fast-paced sectors
