What you’ll do

Deliver the day to day physical security management across assigned Vodafone locations, ensuring a safe, compliant, and resilient environment. Deliver risk assessments, mitigation measures, third-party service provider oversight, and incident management, enabling a culture of security within the business.

Be the subject matter expert for the design, deployment, integration, and lifecycle management of Vodafone’s technical physical security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Intercom, etc.). This role ensures that Vodafone sites and people are protected through cutting edge security technology solutions, aligned with global standards and business needs.

The role will be at the forefront of technical innovation, advising on emerging technologies, leading solution design, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and network infrastructure. It will also manage third-party contractors and vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant security systems globally.

  • Oversee physical security operations across assigned locations.
  • Conduct site risk assessments; design and oversee implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Oversee management of access control rights for assigned locations
  • Coordinate with Facilities, Operations, and Network teams to ensure security alignment.
  • Lead incident response and investigations into threats or breaches.
  • Ensure compliance with Vodafone security policies, external regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage third party security providers and contractors against agreed SLAs.
  • Support development and testing of business continuity, crisis and emergency response plans.
  • Monitor security trends and emerging threats relevant to assigned locations and areas.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management.
  • Manage architecture, standards, and lifecycle management for Security systems and platforms
  • Design and implement electronic security systems, feasibility studies and technical auditing of security systems
  • Create site location risk assessments of existing security systems and systems grading to EN 50131 series.
  • Ensure secure network integration and alignment with cybersecurity policies.
  • Define global design and standards and acceptance criteria.
  • Oversee commissioning of systems and documentation for sites.
  • Work with SOC/GSOC on integrate of alarms, CCTV and analytics for effective monitoring and incident response.
  • Manage vendor selection, delivery, and maintenance SLAs
  • Conduct technical audits (e.g., for video retention, masking, signage, etc.).
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies (AI video analytics, mobile credentials etc.)

Who you are

  • Deep knowledge of physical security technologies and IT/network fundamentals
  • Systems integration and data governance (retention, access rights, audit trails).
  • Vendor and project management; strong documentation discipline.
  • Analytical problem solving; reliability and performance engineering mindset.
  • Stakeholder engagement with IT, Legal/Privacy, Procurement, Facilities.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise physical security systems at scale.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and obligations (e.g., ISO 27001, EN 50131, EN 60839/50133, EN 13501-1)
  • Experience delivering complex, multi site roll outs and upgrades.
