About this Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Release Planning Specialist to support end‑to‑end release management activities across applications and DevOps environments. The individual will contribute to planning cycles, risk identification, communication management, and cross-team coordination to ensure smooth, timely, and high‑quality releases.

What you’ll do

Support the full release management lifecycle, including scheduling, planning, tracking, deployment coordination, and documentation.Prepare and lead meetings, ensuring agendas, minutes, risks, decisions, and action items are clearly communicated.Collaborate with application and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery of services and remove delivery bottlenecks.Identify risks, escalate issues to senior teams, and constructively challenge decisions where required to safeguard delivery outcomes.Engage with wider programmes and projects to align planning activities and create clear, concise presentations.Use tools such as Remedy, JIRA, and SharePoint for tracking and managing release activities, including revenue-related processes.Manage exceptions, handle escalations, and provide coaching or briefings to supporting teams to strengthen planning effectiveness.Conduct root cause analysis for defects reaching production and drive process improvements.

Who you are

Possess 3–5 years of overall experience in planning or release management functions.Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.Skilled in PowerPoint, MS Visio, and Excel with an analytical approach.Comfortable identifying risks, engaging senior stakeholders, and constructively challenging decisions when needed.Able to work with cross-functional teams, manage issues autonomously, and adopt a problem-solving mindset.Familiar with release management tools such as Remedy, JIRA, and SharePoint
