About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with deep SAP deployment expertise, strong release and technical project management capability, and a strategic mindset. The role involves leading SAP technical cutovers, coordinating complex multi‑team release cycles, managing risk, and ensuring high‑quality delivery across varied landscapes. The ideal candidate brings extensive SAP knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proven record of managing cross‑functional release activities at scale.

What you’ll do

Lead at least five large-scale SAP deployments, including full ownership of all technical cutover activities.
Apply subject matter expertise across core SAP modules and additional supporting modules.
Manage release planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting across the portfolio.
Partner closely with PMO teams, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional groups to ensure alignment of release activities.
Monitor and measure progress against scheduled milestones to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Coordinate release content based on incident and service request backlogs, third-party integrations, and system updates.
Communicate project plans, key milestones, quality assurance details, timelines, and scope changes to all relevant stakeholders.
Develop forward-looking release plans and maintain a unified release calendar.
Oversee relationships between distributed teams and ensure seamless collaboration.
Identify, manage, and mitigate risks to protect release scope, quality, and timelines.
Conduct readiness assessments, milestone validations, and Go/No-Go reviews.
Create deployment documentation, runbooks, and implementation plans.
Deliver weekly release reports and maintain centralised release repositories.
Guide Go‑Live activities, ensuring smooth execution of deployment plans and checklists.
Participate in CAB meetings to review release scope and address roadblocks.
Collaborate with release engineers to analyse impacts of code merges and branching activities.
Research advancements in configuration management and software development methodologies to enhance release processes.
Demonstrate strong leadership while coordinating diverse teams towards shared completion targets.

Who you are

  • Strong command of verbal and written English, with advanced communication skills.
  • Experience in a minimum of five end‑to‑end SAP deployments, including leading technical cutovers.
  • Subject matter expertise in key SAP modules with broad understanding of related modules.
  • 6–8 years of experience in release or project/portfolio management with practical exposure to project methodologies.
  • 8–10 years of experience in SAP or non-SAP project operations, systems analysis, or development environments.
  • Experienced in interfacing with PMO and senior stakeholders, providing clear reporting and status updates.
  • Skilled in managing multi-location teams and cross-functional workstreams.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and leadership capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
    • PRINCE2 Practitioner certification (passed within the last 2 years)
    • Valid ITIL Foundation certification
    • Formal and valid SAP Technical Certification
    • Microsoft Certification (Office Suite and MSP)
