About this Role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to provide global IT integration, support, and delivery across private cloud environments, ensuring applications from multiple clients can run reliably and securely. The role focuses on Kubernetes-led DevOps practices, overseeing application lifecycle management, CI/CD optimisation, infrastructure stability, and cross-team collaboration. The individual will help accelerate deployment of modern, secure applications used across Vodafone markets worldwide.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of applications, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines across multi‑environment setups.
  • Lead and execute system migrations, upgrades, and integrations, including decisions on tooling, automation frameworks, and deployment strategies.
  • Own and resolve incidents and problems, prioritising according to SLA commitments and business impact.
  • Establish and advocate for DevOps best practices, including monitoring, automation, documentation, and knowledge-sharing standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and vendors to manage escalations, provide technical fixes, and support long-term improvement initiatives.

Who you are

  • Skilled in system integration and deployment of DevOps tooling, with experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and APIGEE implementations.
  • Capable of managing full lifecycle migrations, upgrades, and release transitions with complete ownership.
  • Experienced in service management, incident resolution, and handling multiple cases concurrently within agreed SLAs.
  • Knowledgeable in UNIX/Linux administration, IT infrastructure domains such as DNS and proxy configurations, and connectivity techniques.
  • Familiar with microservices architecture, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and preferred tools such as SonarQube and Nexus.
  • Able to troubleshoot database and application issues across UNIX and Windows environments and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • ITIL Foundation certification, AWS knowledge, software development understanding, and Remedy experience are advantageous.
