About this Role

We are seeking a Performance Testing Lead to deliver high‑quality non‑functional testing services across VOIS in a telecommunications environment. The role is responsible for defining and executing performance testing strategies, leading performance test delivery across onshore and offshore teams, and ensuring platforms, services and components meet agreed quality, cost and timeline commitments. This role operates across cloud, CRM and middleware domains, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, reuse of test assets and adherence to global testing standards.

What you’ll do

  • Define and execute performance and non‑functional test strategies aligned to telecom platforms, delivery approaches and strategic initiatives
  • Plan, design and execute performance tests using appropriate tools, scripts and scenarios
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define acceptance criteria and communicate performance outcomes
  • Analyse non‑functional requirements and perform volumetric analysis to ensure realistic test coverage
  • Execute and coordinate performance testing activities across multi‑vendor, global delivery environments
  • Analyse test results and communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Drive improvements in test automation, reusability of test assets and overall testing efficiency
  • Develop and maintain non‑functional test strategies, ensuring alignment to project risk profiles and delivery schedules
  • Collaborate with application and development teams to resolve performance issues identified during testing
  • Promote reuse of scripts, data sets and frameworks across non‑functional testing initiatives
  • Apply performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, SOAP UI and related technologies
  • Work within CI/CD and cloud‑based environments using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub, Maven and Gatling
  • Perform performance testing across microservices, Kubernetes, AWS and Oracle OCI environments
  • Analyse JVM behaviour, garbage collection, thread dumps and database performance (Oracle and SQL Server)
  • Use application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, CA Wily or HP Diagnostics
  • Ensure testing deliverables align with industry standards and organisational quality frameworks

Who you are

  • Proven experience delivering performance and non‑functional testing solutions in a global, multi‑vendor environment
  • Strong hands‑on experience with performance testing tools and scripting across multiple protocols
  • Experience working in CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑native delivery environments
  • Solid understanding of microservices, containerisation and cloud platforms
  • Working knowledge of programming and scripting (Java, C, VB macros, SQL, shell scripting)
  • Strong understanding of JVM architecture, application and database performance analysis
  • Experience using APM and monitoring tools for deep performance diagnostics
  • Ability to translate technical performance issues into clear business impact statements

What's in it for you

  • Opportunity to work on complex, enterprise‑scale platforms within a global telecommunications environment
  • Exposure to modern cloud, microservices and CI/CD‑driven delivery models
  • A role that blends technical depth with leadership, mentoring and strategic quality ownership
  • The chance to influence testing standards, automation maturity and performance engineering practices

What skills you will learn
