About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Pega Business Architect and Process Automation Analyst to lead requirements discovery, process design, and delivery governance for Pega Business Process Management (BPM) and Case Management implementations. This position acts as a key link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating operational goals and process improvement opportunities into scalable workflow solutions. The role is ideally suited to candidates with strong expertise in Pega BPM, business analysis, process modelling, stakeholder engagement, and Agile delivery environments. Based in Pune with a hybrid working model, the individual will contribute to enterprise-scale transformation and workflow automation initiatives

What you’ll do

Lead requirements workshops with business stakeholders and delivery teams to capture and document current and future-state business processes.
Model and document end-to-end business processes using BPMN, case lifecycle designs, and workflow diagrams.
Design case types, process stages, workflows, routing models, and service level agreements within the Pega platform.
Collaborate with Pega architects and developers to ensure solutions align with platform best practices and enterprise standards.
Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend appropriate configuration and customisation approaches.
Define and govern business rules, decision logic, routing pathways, and escalation processes.
Maintain end-to-end traceability from business requirements through design, testing, and deployment.
Support User Acceptance Testing planning and execution to validate business outcomes and acceptance criteria.
Partner with integration, data, and channel teams to ensure seamless workflow automation across connected platforms.
Present business cases, automation roadmaps, and process designs to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
Identify opportunities for operational optimisation, straight-through processing, and reduction of manual activities through low-code automation.
Contribute to pre-sales and business development activities, including solution proposals, effort estimation, and RFP responses where required.

Who you are

5+ years of experience in enterprise IT, business analysis, or business process transformation.
4+ years of experience working on Pega platform implementations.
Strong functional expertise in Pega BPM and Case Management, including case design, stages, processes, SLAs, work parties, and routing.
Proficiency in BPMN process modelling and translating process maps into effective Pega case designs.
Working knowledge of decision tables, decision trees, and related Pega decisioning capabilities.
Experience working within Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.
Ability to create high-quality business requirements documents, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business, product, architecture, engineering, testing, data, and integration teams.
Experience working with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
Ability to analyse complex business problems and provide structured, practical solutions.
Exposure to workflow automation use cases involving GenAI or Agentic AI concepts would be advantageous.
Preferred certifications include Pega Certified Business Architect (CBA), Pega Certified System Architect (CSA), Leading SAFe Agilist, ITIL Foundation, or ISTQB.
Experience within Telecom, BFSI, Retail, shared services, or operations transformation environments is preferred.
