About this Role

We are seeking a technically skilled and solution-oriented individual to join our team as a Monetisation & Charging Product Developer. This role focuses on designing and delivering complex tariff configurations and developing innovative charging products for 5G Core monetisation. The successful candidate will collaborate across squads, tribes, IT and operations to ensure seamless delivery, testing, and support of charging services. The role demands strong programming capabilities, experience with DevOps tools, and a deep understanding of cyber security and cloud technologies.

What you’ll do

  • Design and implement complex tariff configurations and unit testing for Vodafone’s Consumer & Enterprise products.
  • Develop new charging products aligned with 5G Core monetisation strategies.
  • Collaborate with business units to define and implement commercial product functionalities.
  • Engineer backend applications using technologies such as Java and Python, and integrate open-source components via CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance with cyber security standards and regulatory policies.
  • Lead design reviews and technical assurance activities throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support during system testing, integration, and incident resolution.
  • Share expertise and guidance within the CCS Engineering team and with operations.
  • Identify new monetisation opportunities and influence software architecture decisions.

Who you are

  • Holder of MSc/BSc in Computer Science (mandatory).
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in charging configuration or related areas.
  • Proficient in programming and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, JMeter).
  • Experienced in SOAP, Diameter, and RESTful APIs.
  • Logical thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communicator with a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Able to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
