Role: Team Lead – IoT Charging and Messaging

What you’ll do

As Team Lead for IoT Charging and Messaging, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Vodafone’s IoT platform. You’ll lead a talented engineering team to design, build, and optimize mediation components that power global IoT connectivity. From driving software development best practices to ensuring high performance, reliability, and security, you’ll be at the heart of delivering cutting-edge solutions. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across technology and business, influence strategic decisions, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Who you are

  • Experienced technical leader with a strong background in software development and system architecture
  • Skilled in Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and passionate about driving engineering excellence
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java and familiar with CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Knowledge of charging systems, messaging flows, and AAA concepts in mobile networks
  • Strong communicator who can bridge technical and business priorities and build collaborative relationships
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop teams, fostering an inclusive and high-performing environment
  • Resilient and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, with 5+ years leading software development teams
