Role purpose:


The ITaaP Integration Leader is responsible for the delivery of a Southbound Integration Layer (ITaaP) that encapsulates Core IT applications, exposing RESTFul and Event APIs to channels and other IT Applications. This role is expected to manage a team of Software Engineers that may grow and shrink depending on demand. The role is responsible for coordinating the Engineering efforts to deliver APIs, ensure on time delivery and alignment with priorities and defined technical approach. This role embodies the scrum principles and leads the team Guided by them, acting as a both Engineering Manager & Scrum Master. The role works closely with Managers, Project Managers, Executive heads, QA-Engineers and other personnel outside the Engineering Enablement function.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Act as Product owner of APIs (Restful & Events) , including gathering and establishing detailed API requirements;
  • Lead Engineering of Integrations to materialize/expose APIs based on agreed/defined Roadmap and established technology stack and patterns;
  • Act as a technical Authority for Core-IT Integrations developments;
  • Manage team capacity, allocation and drive planning & execution of team backlog, ensuring that what’s committed is delivered on time and works as expected first time;
  • Keep track and respond to faults and defects raised by customers and operations teams expediting resolution of pressing issues to minimize customer & financial impact;
  • Act as advocate of ITaaP APIs and keeper of the ITaaP vision, maximizing usage of ITaaP APIs to realize customer Journeys;
  • Foster a culture of ownership and innovation, and support career development through regular feedback and coaching

What we are looking in you:

  • Honors degree in any IT Related field;
  • Planning, Agile Methodology & Scrum;
  • Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner;
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD);
  • Certified Scrum Master;
  • Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) & Apache CamelJava;
  • Certified Developer;
  • English (spoken & written);
  • Technology core skills: Networking, Web Architecture, REST-APIs, API Integrations, Messaging;
  • Programming & Modern software engineering: Containers, Microservices, DevOps, Cloud Computing;
  • Java Programming and API development with Modern frameworks such as Quarkus;
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of software engineers;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with senior management;
  • Solid Understanding of how software is conceived and SDLC in general with enough background to contribute in technical discussions and guide technical Implementation;
  • Strong analytical skills with solid notions of APIs (Restful and Event) and encapsulation;
  • A minimum of 5 Years of proven Experience in Software Development hands-on or leading a team.
