About this Role
We are seeking an experienced Integration Designer / Dev Lead – TIBCO to play a critical role in Vodafone UK’s integration landscape. This role sits at the heart of end‑to‑end solution delivery, owning the quality, performance, and scalability of the integration layer. The individual will lead design and development activities, represent the integration domain during requirement analysis and solution design, and ensure robust, optimised outcomes across complex telecom programmes.
What you’ll do
Represent the integration domain during end‑to‑end requirement analysis and solution design for each release.
Design and develop high‑quality integration solutions using TIBCO technologies, ensuring optimal performance and efficient resource utilisation.
Translate architectural designs into robust, scalable, and secure integration implementations.
Lead and critically review design and build deliverables from the assigned development team.
Apply integration design patterns, standards, and best practices across agile and waterfall delivery models.
Act as the final technical escalation point for complex production issues with high business impact.
Identify inefficiencies in processes and systems and introduce automation or optimisation opportunities.
Ensure end‑to‑end accountability for timely and high‑quality delivery of assigned projects.
Collaborate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to achieve shared project goals.
Who you are
An experienced SOA / Integration professional with 5–7 years of hands‑on design and development experience using TIBCO.
Experienced in strategic end‑to‑end solution architecture within the telecom domain, with at least 2 years in complex E2E design roles.
Highly skilled in TIBCO EMS (7.x / 8.x), BW (5.x / 6.x), ActiveSpaces, Adapters / SDK, and APIGEE.
Proficient in application and internet gateways, core Java, JMS, Oracle SQL, caching techniques, encryption standards, microservices, and security.
Knowledgeable in defining Canonical Data Models (CDM) and TMF models.
Comfortable designing and delivering high‑complexity integration solutions.
Confident in driving technical discussions, articulating ideas clearly, and influencing diverse stakeholders.
A collaborative leader who mentors others, demonstrates ownership, and acts as a role model within the team.
Resilient and effective in high‑pressure, fast‑changing environments, with a proactive approach to risk and issue management.
Qualified with a B.E / M.E / M.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science or IT, or an MSc / MCA in relevant disciplines.
