#DIGITALCAMPUS Tech lead (M/F)

Job Description:

An opportunity for a Tech lead in the PSL IM Integration Platforms has arisen within Airbus Helicopters (Albacete, Spain). In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain the standard templates for error handling, logging, and security: you will define the development's best practices for our real-time REST APIs, asynchronous event-driven messages (like Solace or TIBCO EMS), or scheduled batch file transfers (Qlik Talend) platforms. You will work closely with the Architect of the team and all the Product Managers.

DESCRIPTION

- Brief description of the department’s mission:

The Integration Platform Team designs, builds, and monitors secure API and middleware connections to synchronize data, automate workflows, and link disparate legacy and cloud systems. The integration patterns defined by our architect are selected to meet the applications’ use cases and are updated regularly to support new requirements. The team manages the creation and maintenance of secure API connections, middleware orchestrations, and real-time data streaming architectures alongside high-performance file transfer solutions.

YOUR CHALLENGES

Vision: Own the technical roadmap for our integration ecosystem. Design highly resilient, scalable, and secure development patterns (Event-Driven, Sync/Async APIs, batch processing).

Technical Leadership: Lead by example. Write clean, production-ready code for core platform components, conduct rigorous code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.

Developer Advocacy: Treat internal developers as your primary customers. Drive the adoption of standard schemas, self-service APIs, and robust documentation to maximize developer velocity.

Observability & Resilience: Ensure the platform is bulletproof. Build out distributed tracing, advanced monitoring, and automated self-healing mechanisms to minimize blast radius and MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution).

Mentorship & Growth: Actively coach, mentor, and level up a dedicated team of integration engineers.

- Education: Master's degree level (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related field.

- Integration: Knowledge of integration paradigms, enterprise service patterns, and event-driven architecture.

- API: Designing and managing enterprise-grade API gateways, service meshes.

- Communication: Ability to translate technical platform concepts into business value for stakeholders, and an empathetic approach to collaborating with other engineering teams.

- Curiosity: A strong desire to learn new technologies and integration patterns.

- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot code and logic flow.
