About this role

We are seeking a Global IoT Service Expert to lead the IoT service relationship for Vodafone’s largest strategic IoT customers. This role is pivotal in enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty by managing the entire in-life IoT service, acting as a trusted advisor, and driving continuous service improvements. The individual will provide a governance layer above IoT Operations and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to shape a market-leading service offering.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as the dedicated key contact for Vodafone’s largest global IoT customers.
  • Manage senior-level customer relationships and lead service review meetings and QBRs.
  • Deliver proactive IoT technical service management and identify service improvement opportunities.
  • Analyse service patterns and customer needs to drive operational enhancements.
  • Own and influence new processes impacting customer solutions.
  • Collaborate with IoT Technical Service Planning Authorities on strategic topics.
  • Represent both Vodafone’s and the customer’s interests within the IoT organisation.
  • Oversee IoT service deliverables including KPIs, SLAs, NPS, and cost to serve.
  • Support commercial delivery by removing barriers to product adoption and proposing service propositions.
  • Engage with vendors and partners to maintain and enhance the service model.

Who you are

  • Fluent in English, proficiency in German or another European language is an advantage.
  • Holder of an ITIL v3 Foundation Certification.
  • Min. 6 years of experience in project management and IoT technical operations or service management.
  • Skilled in supporting managed WAN, LAN, SDN, and security services.
  • Strong communicator with excellent negotiation and coordination skills.
  • Analytical thinker with experience in data interpretation and trend analysis.
  • Solution-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • University or MA degree holder.
  • Advanced knowledge of mobile network technologies (LPWA, GPRS, WCDMA, LTE 4G).
  • Familiar with module technologies and products (e.g., SIMCOM, Quectel, Gemalto, Sierra Wireless).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the automotive OEM business.
  • Proven ability to manage virtual teams in a matrix structure.
